Yesterday my husband Bip and I started 2010 with a visit to Arshille Gorky: A Retrospective at the Philadelphia Museum of Art (the last day is next Sunday, January 10th). Gorky has been one of my desert island artists for a long time. Then we had a relaxed lunch at the London Grille nearby, a favorite stop of ours in our daughter's old neighborhood.It was refreshing to find a space between the whirlwind of the holidays and the giddy promise of a New Year's clean slate to just enjoy and be inspired. I hope we can all find those spaces in the year ahead! Isn't that what it's about anyway?
