I've been playing with the idea of making hot pads to go with my kitchen line for a long time. I finally made a pair out of some leftover scraps of printed fabric just for kicks. I'm happy with the results but haven't decided yet if I'll offer them for sale. Maybe I'll use up the rest of the remnants I have and offer a limited run. It was nice to make something new but I'm not sure I want to make a lot of them. Hmmm...While sorting through my photos, I came across this double-double egg image and decided that it belonged with the hot pads. Those organic free-range hens sure must be happy!

those look great, sara! i say go with the idea of making the limited run -- why not? you've got the material --- making a small run of them will satisfy the itch to make and offer something new, but you wont have to keep doing them over and over again to the point of frustration. go for it!
